Covid 19 Health and Safety Policy for alert level 2.

 

I am beyond excited to see you all again but we still need to be doing our part in our team of 5million to stop the spread of covid-19. I am taking some measures which may be slightly above industry minimum standards but I really want to leave no stone unturned and I do not want to be a part of the spread.

 

I know this seems like alot to take in but if we all do our bit the sooner this goes away. Its hard to believe we have to do this all again, but the more we comply the faster it goes away again. 

 

Under alert level 2 we are adjusting to our new normal. There are some new house rules to abide by for the health and safety of clients and staff and family.

 

Wash your hands: Hand sanatizer will be provided in multiple locations around the salon.

 

Magazines, Drinks and Clothing: During alert level 2 hairdressers cannot safely provide you with magazines or drinks. Please feel free to bring your own entertainment, food and drinks. We are unable to “take your coat and bag” please remove your own coat and bag and place it beside you.

 

Coughing etc: I know that sometimes we cough or sneeze when we are well. Perhaps you catch your breath while drinking or the smell of the hair dye gets up your nose and you need to sneeze. Remember to sneeze or cough into your elbow and wash your hands again. 

 

Other People: You will not be permitted to bring anyone else to your appointment during alert level 2. 

 

Contact Tracing: This is a mandatory requirement. We have plenty of QR codes around and a manual option available too.

 

PPE: As a stylist I will be working closely with you so you will notice I will be wearing PPE and following PPE guidelines. It will also be mandatory for you to wear a face covering whilst in the studio.

 

Cleaning of towels: We will be using biodegradable disposable towels under level 2. 

 

Cleaning of communal areas: All areas clients sit and touch will be cleaned correctly between clients. All equipment that is used will be cleaned correctly between clients. We have purchased a lot more extra equipment to help the day flow better.

 

Use of toilet: Because our toilet is in our home we ask you to go before you arrive and only ask to use it in extreme urgency in level 2. This is because the whole area of our home leading to our toilet and bathroom would require snantation after use.

 

My Pets and Animals: I know many of you have got to know our dog Zippy and soon you will see our cat Cass around. For the safety of our family and other clients we ask you not to pat them under alert level 2. 

 

If you arrive late: If you are late to an appointment this could eat into our cleaning time we book out between customers. If you arrive late we may have to adjust your service to fit the allotted time. If you are too late we may require you to pay for the appointment and re book. 

 

Illness: We require all clients and staff to be completely well. There will be zero tolerance here. If I or anyone in my house feels the slightest bit unwell I will be rescheduling clients and getting tested. We require you to do the same. If you have someone self isolating in your home we ask you to isolate as well.

 

Covid-19 Symptoms include but are not limited to:

  • a cough

  • a high temperature of at least 38°C

  • shortness of breath

  • sore throat

  • sneezing and runny nose 

  • temporary loss of smell.

If you or anyone in your home has any of these you must cancel your appointment and rebook again when you are well. Please make sure you get tested if required and get the all clear before booking your next appointment if you have been sick. Thank you for your cooperation.
